5 Things you can do to prioritise your wellness this week.

Taking time every week to prioritise your wellness & self-care as a busy professional is essential for maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Taking time for your own wellness will reduce stress, allow you to switch off from your busy job, increase productivity & improve your physical health.

There are so many ways you can practice wellness. We have listed 5 things you can do this week to prioritise your wellness & self-care. If you do even one of the things on the list this week, it will make a huge difference.

Attend a Yoga Class

We have recently announced a partnership with an amazing yoga & pilates studio in Cork - Soul Yoga - where all TASK employees receive unlimited complimentary classes.

This partnership is the first step in integrating wellness within the workplace at TASK, which is something we strongly believe in.

There are so many wellness benefits to yoga including improved heart health, improved balance & flexibility, reduced stress, and increased energy.

We would recommend Soul Yoga’s Dynamic Flow Class - it’s a yoga class that allows you to switch off from work, relax & also get a great workout in.

Go for a Sea Swim & Sauna

As we are getting into the warmer months, this is one of the best wellness activities you can do. There are so many benefits to both cold water exposure & saunas.

Cold water exposure benefits include: mood boosting & releasing endorphins, muscle recovery, improved immune system, increased blood flow and so many more.

Saunas have great health benefits as well. A few minutes in a sauna every so often improves heart health, reduces stress, flushes toxins, aids in physical recovery, cleanses and so many more.

Liv tried out The Sauna Snugg on Garrylucas Beach in Garretstown over the weekend & loved it. Only €10 for 30 minutes in the sauna right next to the beach.

Prioritise Journaling.

Journaling is a great wellness tool & we recommend prioritising journaling this week and seeing how you feel at the end of it.

Journaling can increase productivity, reduce stress, provide mental clarity, enhance self-awareness, assist in goal achievement, cultivate habits & assist in personal development overall.

We are big journalers at TASK & the benefits extend to both your professional and personal life.

We love The Head Plan here at TASK. They have amazing self-development journals & other products that can help you on your wellness journey.

Listen to an inspiring podcast

Sometimes our busy lives & jobs can get in the way of dedicated a good amount of time to wellness & self-care. If you are struggling to find time this week, try listening to an inspiring self-help podcast in the car, while you make dinner or at work. When you finish the episode, write down 3 things that stood out to you that you want to take with you into the rest of your week.

A recent podcast we listened to is The School of Greatness’ podcast with Venus Williams on training your mind for success, confidence & fulfilment. It is a great episode all about mindset & how powerful it can be.

Have a self-care night

If you have time this week, dedicate one evening to self-care. Spend the evening relaxing and resetting.

This can involve taking time to do your skincare routine, doing a hair mask and a face mask, putting on a fresh layer of tan, switching off all technology and reading or taking a long bath.

We have a full article on our evening routine essentials here.
